Preschoolers,
bring your favorite adult and help our staff feed the sea stars, hermit crabs,
whelks, fish, and other tidal animals in the touch tank.

Make &
Take Crafts
|
The
Museum is a great place for family activities.
Informal and independent activities include scavenger hunts and I Spy
for different age levels. Be sure
to get a beach scavenger hunt to enjoy after you leave the Museum.
In
late November and December, make holiday crafts celebrating Hanukkah,
Christmas, and Kwanzaa. Write a
letter to Santa and put it in our North Pole mail box by December 18 to get a
response.

The Great Backyard
Bird Count is February 12-15. Do you have 15 minutes a day for four
days? Spend them in your own backyard counting birds for a national
registry. Join us at the Museum to learn about this program.

Porter Lecture Series
The
lecture series is held the second
Tuesday of the month from September through May except for December.
The Museum opens at 6:30 for your self-guided tour of the Museum before
the lecture begins at 7 p.m. Lectures
usually last about an hour and light refreshments are served after the
lecture.
